September marks Irish Heart Month, a national social media campaign dedicated to raising awareness about heart health across Ireland. The Irish Heart Foundation engaged Sully Productions to design a range of static and animation assets to encourage people to participate in this challenge.
I created a set of characters that could participate in a program of exercises that encourage people working from home to “Escape Your Chair’ and move more throughout the day.
The characters featured in the program were diverse in age, gender, and physical abilities, representing a wide range of individuals. Each day, one character demonstrated a different physical exercise that could be easily done at home, encouraging movement and promoting overall well-being. The exercises were designed to be accessible for everyone, emphasizing the importance of taking regular breaks from work to support both physical health and mental well-being. By showcasing a variety of characters, the program highlighted that movement and self-care are essential for people of all backgrounds and abilities.
Every day throughout heart month, the IHF released a different exercise. These were delivered as animated gifs, that were aimed at motivating people working from home to get up, move more and take a break.
These exercise routines were organised into manageable weekly goals, with the design of four individual calendars to help users track their progress effectively.
A comprehensive media pack, including promotional posters, flyers, and social media posts, was provided to maintain the momentum and ensure the campaign remained active and engaging through Heart Month.
